Nutrition Program Non-Discrimination Policies

Voluntary Action Center of DeKalb County (VAC) is committed to a policy of non-discrimination in the conduct of its business, including its Title VI responsibilities – the delivery of equitable and accessible services.  VAC recognizes its responsibilities to the communities in which it operates. It is VAC’s policy to utilize its best efforts to assure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under its programs of service delivery and related benefits.

VAC does not discriminate in admission to programs or treatment of employment in programs or activities in compliance with appropriate state and federal statutes. If you feel you have been discriminated against, you have a right to file a complaint with the Illinois Department on Aging. For more information, call Senior Helpline at 1-800-252-8966 (voice and TT), or contact the Executive Director at VAC at 815-758-3932.
