Grants Manager (Sycamore location)
VAC is seeking a full-time Manager of Grants to oversee VAC grant management activities. The Manager maintains collaborative relationships across the agency, participates in the development of external support, and assists in the administration of various grant programs. Candidates must have at least 3 years of previous work experience in grants administration/compliance, financial management, finance, accounting, and/or auditing. Government grant experience required; federal grant experience desired. Experience in a nonprofit setting preferred in addition to supervisory experience. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a related field with a concentration in accounting or finance or relevant experience required. Master’s degree in related fields a plus.
SUMMER MEALS ASSISTANT (Sycamore location)
The Summer Meals Assistant is a part-time/seasonal position that assists the Summer Meals Coordinator in operating the daily activities of the Agency’s Summer Meals Program including food preparation, assembly, and packing. This position may also be responsible for the timely delivery of meals at different sites in the Agency’s service area while operating the agency vehicle in a safe and productive manner. KITCHEN ASSISTANT (Sycamore location)
The Part-Time Kitchen Assistant duties include cleaning the kitchen, packing meals, and other items in the operation of VAC’s community nutrition programs. Must be flexible and available to work weekends if needed. Must have a good driving record and excellent customer service skills. VAC is hiring FT and PT transit bus operators. Must be at least 21 years of age, excellent driving record, excellent communication skills, knowledge of areas surrounding region. ADMINISTRATION INTERN (Sycamore location, others potential)
VAC is seeking an Administration Intern to support the programs and services of the Agency. This can/will consist of working in various departments to obtain a global perspective of the Agency, including special projects coordination, grant evaluation, training & e-learning, non-profit support services, communications, resource management, donor services, human resources, and information management. The intern will receive a well-rounded experience of the various facets of a non-profit foundation and will also gain a valuable working relationship with numerous non-profit, governmental, and community organizations. No experience necessary, but customer service experience a plus. A candidate for this internship must be enrolled in a higher education degree program with an accredited higher learning institution.
