Summer Meals Program
The Summer Meals Program is a USDA funded program administered by the Illinois State Board of Education to provide free nutritious meals and snacks for children from low income families during the summer months when there is no school. Voluntary Action Center is a Sponsor of the Summer Meals Program in DeKalb County .
During the months of June, July, and August, meals are prepared by Voluntary Action staff for several local summer meal sites.
Four of the Summer Meals Sites are open to anyone 18 years and younger with no reservations required.
